In Celtic lore white animals with red ears are said to be fairy animals and one of the legends around Brighid the Saint pertain that as a baby she would not eat nor drink except for the milk of a white cow with red ears. Brighid´s feast day was yesterday, February 1. She is also the patroness of Imbolc which falls on February 1 or 2, depending on your source. This bangle is in her honour.
The silver Brighid´s Cross is from Silverado, the glass beads are TB. Sorry for the bad light. It is already dark and I only saw this thread now.

I am not sure. Maybe albinos were considered to be magical because they are special and it started from there?

Love the bangle and the story Trollperle! Silverado has quite a selection of celtic beads. Actually those are the best ones from that brand i.m.o. The Brighid's Cross is a great and unique bead.
