Friends for All Seasons

This is a bracelet that I made as a meditation on the power of long term friendship, visualising this as being like the cycle of the seasons (passing from youth to age, running through good times and bad). It was inspired by the deeply loving friendships that I have been honoured to witness on the Give Hope a Chance Fundraising Bead Auction on Facebook. Most of the silver beads were won there.

That is gorgeous and I love the meaning behind it! I, too, have been awed and inspired by the depth of the friendships and the response from such a wide and diverse group of people who initially came together simply because of their love for beads!

This is so beautiful, Brightonbelle. So delicate, but with a strong, well balanced feel. Hmmm..I think that's a perfect representation of friendship!
It's funny how I can have some beads on the "back burner" on the need to have list, and then I see them put to work in something like this and think "why don't I have this bead yet"? There are a couple that after seeing them used so beautifully here, are requiring my attention!

Thank you. It is a plate made by George Jones (& Sons) (c.1861-1951). My mother collected their china and left it to me. The designs always have a bee in them somewhere.
