Has this ever happened to anyone?
I was looking for my necklace today and couldn't see it - I wear pretty much every day with 3 silvers (including Joyful) and a couple of glass to match the days bracelets (zebra and hearts yesterday)
When I asked DH this eve if he had seen it - he had fished it out the washing machin

Fortunately it was a 30o wash silvers have come up a treat and the foxtail chain is fine - the glass looks okay but I only have one of each bead at least they are both dark - probably wouldn't have been so lucky with today's choice since it was the two (newish production) Coral which are clear glass

Aaargh!!!
I hope you can put the blame on someone else, like the cat, or the little folks.
I'd much rather wash my necklace than my iPhone, though. BB, is your mobile THAT small??

It was a little clamshell one. It must have been in a pocket. I kept it for ages after that out of respect for its durability. I didn't put it through the drying cycle. That might have killed it.

BB actually it might have liked the dryer. My DD dropped her 5 year old mint chocolate phone in the pool last summer, we thought it was a goner, but left it in my closed car in the sun and baked it - came back to life!
Prin hope you beads are all sparkly now and none the worse for wear - ah - wash!

Shhh!! I washed DD Sypro Skylander....and then dried it. But it still works and hopefully she'll never know! I bought her chop chop, as a secret sorry.

The place that I worked then had a dessicating chamber to dry out experimental materials. I had my phone dessicated for a few days.

DH left a pen in his pocket once, went through the wash and drier, but it wasn't happy, it wrote frantic "Save me" messages on everything !

I've ruined my husbands work phones on two occasions, the last being only a few days ago. Why can't they design these things to be washed at 60C?

I have learned to turn out pockets before drying things after a few disastrous encounters with crayons in the kids pockets years ago.

DH always kills his own mobiles, his count is three by now - he insists on keeping them in his shirt pockets which they will drop out of when he tries to pick something up... So he dropped the first one on the tiled bathroom floor. On the second incident the phone gathered so much momentum that it slid along the platform and fell into the way of an incoming train. The third went your usual way into the washing, good thing he was the one who had filled the washing machine. All were beyond saving.
It goes without saying that I never, never ever lend him my iPhone or any other mobile device...

I'm sure this will happen to me at some point. I'm always finding money in our machine out of my little boys clothes....I keep the money finders keepers after all
