Orange you glad it's Summer?!

(for you who aren''t native English speakers---"orange you" is a play on the way that some people pronounce "aren't you")

"They" say orange is the 'it' color for Spring and Summer this year. I'm not sure that will pan out in North America where we automatically think Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin when we see orange. But I thought I'd try some orange, got myself an orange purse. And put together an orange bracelet. This was my first attempt. Spring theme beads and it goes well with the purse, but perhaps more autumnal than I was aiming for.



The beige and gray basket look glass beads at either end are retired Chamilia. The center floral bead is by Mandy Ramsdell, Lion's Paw Jewelry.



Then I got some orange ooaks from another trollie, grabbed some paler beads, and had another go.

I've been wearing these a lot!

I love them!!!! Isn't it funny, I have been bit by the orange bug too and realized that I have enough orange beads to make up a combination:

I have been tempted by beads similar to that dottie next to Bee on Hive. I am going to have to give into temptation soon!!

Wonderful bracelets ladies, I didn't know there was so much orange to find in ooaks. I'm looking for some more orange myself, since today my tivoli-orange (with lightblue flower) arrived and I feel a desperate need for more orange glass. It's definitely orange this summer, although I hate the fact that it is the national colour of the Netherlands. I'm not the patriotic type.
This is mine, for the time being:

Of course! Those are both Ornament variations, and I know you love Ornaments, Stace. The clear one is the one I posted a while back for my 'most unique' unique. This is one of my first uses for it.

I know exactly what you mean, Tinka. I almost never wear red and black together, because that's the colors for the University of Georgia, and I'm surrounded by red and black every time we go to Georgia. Great colors, but other people make assumptions about you if you wear them.
