The Ford of Bruinen
The symbolic connection of horses and water has always fascinated me. There's Poseidon's horses in Greek mythology, and even Tolkien made use of the metaphor when narrating the episode of the ringwraiths trying to cross the river Bruinen near Rivendell to claim Frodo...
I can't say that I understand what horses and water have in common, but, just like Gandalf, I think it is a nice "touch". And it gives me the opportunity to use the sapphire I was gifted by dear Trolldog.

Beautiful and I can imagine the watery horses galloping out of the glass beads too.

What a beautiful combo though the image of a 'waterhorse' always implies something wicked and dangerous for me (fascinating nevertheless)! In Scotland there's the Kelpie and in Shetland the Njugle (Hayheadsbird would know), wicked creatures that lure people on their back, they can't get off and drown when the horse dives underwater... Spooky ...

My kind of Bracelet Its amazing. I understand the link of horses and Waves. This is how i think it is.. The sea's water is powerful and Many horses thundering(Running) is like the strong waves.

Kat von D once did a GORGEOUS tattoo on some girl's back of horses coming out of waves in the ocean...I couldn't find the tattoo, but this image gives the same impression.

Must be something to horses with water

Re: The Ford of Bruinen
TY all!
great pic, how the horses rise from the sea foam! much nicer imagery then the (gulp!) kelpie, MMP!
Bianca, I see your point, it's probably that the sea and a horse give us the same feelings of unbridled wild strength and beauty (erm, or dread, MMP )...
