60 years of Queen Elizabeth II reign

The Diamond Jubilee celebrations
will centre around an extended weekend on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.

The Queen came to the throne on
6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. She
celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee
(50 years) in 2002.

The only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897

It's a Troll Ooak, just before the prices went nuts at Macrow. £35 for a bead, they are just whistling dixie.

Even though I'm not particularly estatic about the Jubilee, that is one lovely bracelet. Very patriotic!

It hits the town centre tomorrow at 12.30!

It goes down my local street at 7.20 in the morning. I would have to go down, come back home and they go down again to start work at 10am. Not so keen.

But you could go for an early walk down the beach, see the torch on the way to breakfast in Churchill square, then go to work with a lovely memory.
