Image puzzle 4 - Stats, answers and winner(s)!

Dear trollies,

Thank you for playing another image puzzle! For next month I will be trying to come up with a different type of puzzle, to keep things interesting. I hope you enjoyed figuring out the references and the hint, you know how much I enjoy going through your entries. Let me send all of you who participated (and all who didn't dare to but had a go at guessing) a big hug!

I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for the correct answers, so without further ado:

Some stats:
- 10 members participated in this challenge, sending in a total of 14 guesses;
- 2 members found all 8 answers! (2 members scored 6/8; 3 members scored 5/8 and 3 members scored 4/8 ).

3. Bicone - retired (9/10)
Explanation: two (bi) cones --> bicone(s)


4. Pueblo - retired (7/10)
Explanation: the Spanish (flag) word for village is pueblo


5. Buttercup - retired (6/10)
Explanation: Buttercup is the green Powerpuff girl
Incorrect answers: green shadow, green eye bead


6. Spring (6/10)
Incorrect answers: spiral, three siblings


7. Ravens of Odin - earrings (5/10)
Explanation: Thought and Memory are the English translations of the Norse names Huginn and Muninn, Odin's two ravens

Explanation: the man you see is Milo Ventimiglia () , who plays Peter Petrelli in the television series Heroes. In the first season of the series, Peter, who is a hospice nurse with a loving heart finds out he has special (superhuman) abilities. When he meets a man who can paint the future, he finds out New York will be destroyed by an exploding man and believes he is this man. Peter has a strong bond with his older brother Nathan, whom Peter finds out is tempted to make a radical choice. (I'm sorry for staying vague, but I don't want to spoil the series for those who would like to see it!)

Cool! I got five right.

It took me a lot of googling to figure out Buttercup. (I didn't know anything about Powerpuff Girls, either, Michelle.) It was funny to see that lots of people were using Google for that one, you could tell by what searches Google was suggesting. Searches for angry green girl, green anime girl, green eyes anime, etc.

Buttercup and Peter were really hard - I've seen the powerpuff girls years ago on TV but it took me a long time to find out the name of the series...

Fantastic guessers - or is it skill

Funny, I had to check my answers again, because I could not figure out why I got a photo of Ravens when I searched for Thought and Memory. I simply did not make the connection between the Ravens and the English translations. I have learned something new today

Also I did not get Spring - just put Spiral and it could have been Spiral as well.

Well done you winners! I knew it was a TV poster and I had even watched
