About kimono's and other japanese beads
Anticipating the first pictures of the Trollbeads Limited Kimono Set Beads I thought it fun to find some silvers to go along with the Trollbeads glass beads, and the Trollbeads Cherry Blossom bead and Origami bead.
See the final design here
These are all Ohm Beads.
Trollbeads Cherry Blossom and Origami Bead
And some Redbalifrog silvers, above to below:
Geisha doll, Koi fish, Maneki-Neko cat
Enjoy!

Re: About kimono's and other japanese beads
Ohm also has a Sushi bead:
And, a Ninja bead:
Whenever I think of Japanese design I think of stitched Sashiko patterns. There are some of these that are quite specific, but often there is reference to designs of other cultures or they have been adapted. At one point I had read a lot about it, but that information is fading from my brain. Some of the designs have been traced from pottery in one culture to copper work in another and so on as they made their way around the globe. In any case, if I was to do a Japanese themed bracelet it would have to include a bead or two that reminded me of Sashiko patterns. The following beads are not perfect, but reminiscent.
From Pandora, one with a diamond pattern:
From Ohm, the Greek key bead:
From SimStars, a pattern with triangles:
Also one of the Japanese scripts is the same as Chinese characters. So it might be possible to include a Chinese character bead. Probably a little research would be in order to double check on meanings. SimStars has a whole group of them and it seems to me I saw them in another brand that I can't remember at the moment. This is a SimStars one for Good Luck:

And it has just occured to me that something about tea would be appropriate as well. There are lots of teapots out there. None are really Japanese looking, but again the idea would be there. Here are a couple of teappots that I liked and I though aspects of the patterning had some Japanese flavour. One from Ohm:
And one from SimStars:
Yesterday I mentioned another brand having beads with Chinese characters. I have remembered that it is Silverado. Here is a link:

Re: About kimono's and other japanese beads
And the Three Wise Monkeys from Trollbeads of course! Very iconic images from Nikko in Japan. Redbalifrog's much anticipated Moon-Gazing Rabbit will be perfect too, and I also think the new Pisces Trollbead would fit very well on a Japan themed bracelet. I lived in Japan for a few years, studied Japanese for 9 years and have been there on holidays a few times too: looking forward to seeing the beads, could inspire a new themed bracelet. Thanks for all the enabling

Pandora has, or had, a lot of Chinese character beads. The meaning is the same in japanese, pronunciation different.

Re: About kimono's and other japanese beads
Other beads that aren't Japanese but are at least "Asian" in influence in my mind are Buddha, Ying and Yang, Happy Fish and even the new Pisces bead from troll.

Chamilia also has a small "Nozomi" silver enamel collection. They would look cute together as a set.:
ADDED: Also found this link, looks like the Joy bead is a fundraiser for StopPolio in some countries.
