The Great Spring Bug Hunt

We need to feed our babies and the rich green meadows near the stream are filled with a profusion of tiny insects. We chase them through the shadows of the flowers in the Spring sunlight.





The 3 bird and insect barrel beads are by Kim Miles. Everything else is by Trollbeads.

It is a photograph of a piece of 'Raised Work' embroidery that is either 17th century or a 19th century copy. It was worked using tiny buttonhole stitches on a wire framework and might have been intended as a favour.

Who is Kim Miles and does she have a website? I love all of your beads from her! Your bracelet is really gorgeous. I LOVE TB's but also buy artisan beads when I see special ones and these are special.

Kim Miles is a famous and pioneering glass artist. You are lucky because she is in the US and you can buy from her without the risk of Customs charges.

Thanks - I think they go really well too. I like my bracelets more when they have at least one Kim Miles bead on them. Pity I can't get more without paying Customs charges.

Bugs and flowers, what a delight

Thank you all. I have to celebrate the bugs a little bit but only in bracelet form. I have too many of them in my tiny garden and they are already eating my plants to ruins. I need a flock of birds to swoop down on them.
