About sunflowers...

Spring maybe near, but I need sunshine! Now!
Today is very gray compared to the few days before, which had at least some sunny hours. So I dived into my bead box to dig up some sunny colored beads and I picked up some yellow ones which gave me the idea for a theme with sunflowers beads...

Of course there's the Trollbeads Van Gogh bead (right), also known as the sunflower bead.
But next to that I've got a sunflower bead by Ohm Beads.


There are a quite some sunflower beads out there like this silver and gold one by Chamilia.



I'm looking forward to see other sunflower beads and of course sunshine bracelets!

TFS admin, I didn't know there were more sunflowers from other bead brands. Which one do you like the most? I must say that I also fancy the Ohm sunflower.

It's not a Sunflower, but Chamilia is releasing a yellow Daffodil enamel bead in mid-April. I plan on giving one to my Mom. The Cdn Cancer Society always sells Daffodils as a spring fundraiser, so it has some special meaning to us as she used to volunteer for them.

I'm also attracted to the RBF bead, my only reserve is that it is a 'flat' bead.
The new RBF frangipani bead on the other hand is exceptional... and sold out...

I needed that sunflower on the front page! Now I feel much more 'light'...

I think the Ohm bead is my favourite. I hadn't realised there were so many sunflower beads out there

We had temps just a little higher than that today, too. Unfortunately I think it is short lived and by Sunday it is going to be colder, and maybe even snow on Monday night into Tuesday. Maybe we all need some more sun and sunflower beads!!

redbalifrog is my preferred one so far. ;-)

We had sunshine but chilly temps today. The sunflowers are a welcome treat. It's fun seeing the variety of sunflower styles available. I'm partial to the Trollbeads Van Gogh bead but the others are pretty. I think I'll build a Sunflower bracelet soon. Thanks Smaug for the good idea!

After snow, hail, thunder, lightening etc. yesterday we had fabulous sunshine today. The mountains looked incredible with the fresh snow. Not quite warm enough today to be thinking of sunflowers. My favourites are the Troll Van Gogh sunflower and the RedBaliFrog bead.

Halia has several sunflower beads.

They have a dangle called Sunflowers in the Morning:

And finally, there is Sparkling Sundial. It is not strictly a Sunflower, but I think is a cross between a sunflower and a sundial.

I must give you all props for such a great forum. I love the open convos, but it's also refreshing to see that other beads are being featured here and no hands slapped for doing so!! Thanks again!!

Well, I must say that I had no idea there were so many sunflower beads. There are several I like, the yellow enameled one, the RBF one, the Troll one, of course...well maybe I like most of them...LOL
I agree about being able to see more brands of beads. I love being able to talk about other brands too! Great and fantastic forum!!!

I just got the van gogh sunflower last week, but I love the redbalifrob sunflower as well.

The second is pretty. Looks alot like the one TB makes.

I am suprised at all of the sunflower beads out there -- I am thinking of doing a bracelet in different flowers and making glass beads in the appropriate colors for each flower. I will always love my TB's but am seriously thinking of expanding my collection to include other brands -- for the different designs and in some cases the better prices.

Ill stick with the van Gogh

These sunflower beads are great. Make me want summer to hurry up and get here.
