I received a Porcupine/Hedgehog today from Anita sunny - it's been on my wishlist for a while. This particular one is Soren stamped so has been nicknamed the Sorencupine... Very Happy I hadn't realised what a heavy chunky bead the porcupine was and I'm really enjoying it!

Anyway, I have just thrown this together - I've gone by theme rather than design which is slightly outside my comfort zone. It also has more of a girly factor than my usual tomboy bracelets - I don't think I've used this many flowers before! But it also shows off my new antique flower which shone at me when I visited my favourite TB shop the other day. I don't usually go for big glass beads or pastels or flowers, but there was something about this one. I love you

Well that's enough waffle - here's my British Wildlife bracelet (Snake and Snails in Love are on other bracelets but would have fitted in nicely as well!)

From the left: very out of place Embarassed but new Elephant Lock, Beige Flower, Wild Cat, Sorencupine/Hedgehog, Blue Flower Bud, Green Shadow, Ladybird, Fur Animal, 4 Frogs Small, Green Flower, LE Summer Butterfly, Brown Fusion, Bee on Hive, Antique Flower, Chick in Egg, Fur Dot, Red Berry, Mink (aka Polecat), Black Squirrel.

Here is the Sorencupine, isn't he a cutie Laughing :

Okay so this is what you have in Norway,

Bears
Squirrels
Elks
Lynx
Hares
Deer
Reindeer
Roe deer
Foxes
Wolves
Adders

So if you remove anything big and bity (we either killed them, ate them or killed then ate them) and what you're left with is British wildlife. Grumble dance I'm so jaded

Love this Pandabee!!!!

Yes, it's pretty much the same as other European wildlife but without the big scary ones, ie we have deer, foxes, badgers, rabbits and hares, squirrels (mostly the introduced grey ones but up here in the North of England and in Scotland we do have some of our beautiful native red squirrels left), weasels, stoats and polecats, otters, various mice, voles and shrews, hedgehogs, some wildcats up in Scotland I think, lots of different birds, slowworms, grass snakes and adders, frogs and toads and newts. And lots of insects. I've probably forgotten loads too but that's a fair list to be getting on with!

The wild boar, beavers, bears, wolves, sabre tooth tigers etc have all gone.... Sad

My kind of bracelet! I love the porcupine; he's one of my earlier bead purchases.
