My linedance necklace - yet unfinished
Once some time ago I came up with an idea to carry a watch while dancing and not on my wrist - on my necklace - easy to see and decorative too. Now linedancing is all about cowboy hats, cowboy boots, the American flag, feathers, etc.
So I started out with the watch, then bought an unoccupied preloved Stars and Stripes bead from a kind forum member, and then another from another forum member - Trollfriends are the best! - and then I picked up a couple of hats - the small one a Chamilia in a closing sale, and the big one a Silverado on the Bay.
Well it is not quite finished, but I threw in some more beads in the meantime, and I am already using it when I go to linedance parties.
I am going to get an Eske Storm feather and maybe also the US cactus-and-skull-bead, if it not too heavy to wear.
I should also get some boots, so if you know where to get some quality silver boots, please let me know!
Sorry for the poor quality photo, but I was not really planning on sharing yet, but I do need some advice and hints about great beads. Thank you in advance!

Wow, what a clever idea and the watch looks so good on the necklace. I love the Star Spangled bead and more on the ends may look really cool. Can't say I've seen any boots in my travels and might be a google job.

Wearing a watch on your necklace is a brilliant idea. This is a fantastic design and I am really looking forward to seeing it develop.

Love the idea and the design!
I have a permanent USA bracelet:

Perhaps some of these beads can give you a hint? BTW, I've got a spare skull with cactus if you need one.

Re: My linedance necklace - yet unfinished
Thank you all for your kind words
Sita, great inspiration giving me the link to your US bracelet
Besides boots and feather, I am going to search for:
- Novo beads Cougar silver bead
- Trollbeads Cactus silver bead
- Novo bead Conestoga Wagon silver bead
- Trollbeads Old West silver bead (USA World Tour) - maybe Sita's
and maybe a couple of Star Spangled
However, not all of the at once (I just bought the Faerybeads Dragon locks)
This will be great
I have been searching for the right silver boots, but I have not been able to find the right ones yet.

That's a great necklace - I do love a theme. One question, is your chain long enough to be able to see the time on your watch?

Thank you
The leather necklace is the longest, namely 50 cm, and of course I tested if I could see the time before making the necklace. Maybe I should have chosen a watch with a white background, since parties often take place in not so well lit rooms, so it is a bit difficult to see at times, but it works fine.

I think there once was a tread here about watches to go on bracelets, maybe someone can help me remember or search.
I got mine from shopping on Ebay.

Thank you
Thank you, Trollblossom, those were great links.
I have not looked into Novobeads before, but seeing these links, I have to surf the page thoroughly
And my wishlist was long enough already, but I do not mind waiting for something good. Thank you!
