Gold bracelet question
While looking at (drooling over, really:) pictures of the TB gold bracelet on the internet, some pictures show it with a gold cap on one end (the end with the big O ring) while in other photos there is no cap, similar to the silver bracelet. Just wondering if anyone happens to know if this is a new design feature, and when it was introduced? TIA!

Re: Gold bracelet question
Funny, I never noticed that before.
I have mine 3 years now, and he has a cap on one end. I looked at a picture on the TB-website, and that one also has a cap.
My silvers don't have one.

Re: Gold bracelet question
The ones with the gold cap at the end,are European bracelets
The other are from the USA and don't have a stamp

Great question. I have noticed this before, too and wondered.
Thanks for answering Kathleen!
Editing to say---what the heck is up with all the non-hallmarking!

Re: Gold bracelet question
Thanks Elsie, that is interesting. Here is a link to a photo that shows the bracelet apparently without the cap, currently on ebay:

I am not questioning the authenticity but noticed that there doesn't appear to be a cap at the end and wondered if maybe it was an older design?

Re: Gold bracelet question
I did not ever notice this! I have a Euro one that I bought from a friend who bought it from the Swags 50% sale. It doesn't have an LAA on it that I can see, but does have a 585 on the gold cap, on the ring, and then 2 other tiny stamps that may be LAA. The markings are microscopic & so hard to see.... I'd need a magnifier.
I must say that I like the cap better too. Seems to finish off the end nicely.

Re: Gold bracelet question
I really can't imagine why they would make them differently.... different suppliers most likely, but why not use the same design? Very odd...

Re: Gold bracelet question
Are you sure Kathleen about the different versions ?
All other US dealers than that one ebay dealer always show the pic WITH cab on their websites. Many here wondered if those are not the original bracelets. And before anybody asks...I do know of jewelers in Germany that sell gold beads that are not the original ! They only tell you if you ask

Re: Gold bracelet question
Ohh ,i always thougt about the 2 different bracelets
I know more people who has one from the USA and not all from the same jeweller
so maybe the ones without cap are older versions
When i compare mine, they just the same ,only the cap
I don't think the USA bracelets are fake

Re: Gold bracelet question
I recently bought a gold bracelet from a US dealer having a 50% off sale and mine is not capped. I would prefer a capped one as it looks more finished but who can complain at 50% off
Does the cap serve a purpose or is it just for looks?

Re: Gold bracelet question
Maybe the bracelet is stronger with the cap on the end.
So another one without cap in the USA,so i think this are really the USA bracelets that are without cap
The silver bracelets are also without cap(and in the USA without stamp)

Re: Gold bracelet question
hmm, kind of a mystery then? My guess is that there are two authentic versions, one with and one without. Whether it is due to geographic distribution or just newer/older design I am not sure. Maybe I will email TB headquarters and ask:) I find this very interesting! Thank you all for the information you have provided

Re: Gold bracelet question
I know we have had both versions here in Oz, haven't seen one without a cap for years..so I think capped ones might be newer stock....

Thanks Trolls, it is good to know what is available in Oz too:) Nothing like a little mystery to pique my interest in something...I hope I get a reply from TB.
