A Year in the Blackberry Patch

I was trying to reflect a year in the life of a blackberry , from fresh green buds, caterpillars, and scaly creatures through to yummy blackberry souffle

Kind of makes me wish I was a blackberry - although if I was, I sure could do without the caterpillars! As a TB fan though I say they are fantastic!

When I lived in Vancouver I used to be able to sample the neighborhood blackberries when I walked my dog. They are so delicious but beware the blackberry that looks ripe but isn't quite!

So yummy I could take a bite! I really like the two beads on the end, looks like a pinkish scales, but what is the green bead next to that? They are intoxicating together!
