Milky Quartz Empty Milky Quartz

Post by Paixxx Sun Oct 23, 2011 11:02 am

I'd still really like one or two of these, but haven't yet seen any irl.

Are they all more or less the same colour? Are they white/white or ivory/white?

Thanks Smile

As far as I have seen, they are all white/white.

I agree with Silmaril, they are all white/white and from what I have seen, they are all very similar..

Thanks Silmaril. Maybe it is one of the few Trollbeads that doesn't vary from bead to bead?

My two amazonites vary so much in colour they look like different stones Laughing

Actually....I have one and it appears white on it's own but when I put it next to a reagular white glass it is more ivory in colour.
Also they are not all the same....I was choosing mine from many different white/off white shades to choose the whitest one...also some are more matte than others.
They are definately not all the same. They are close thought.
Hope this helps.

No, they are not all the same but if I was to buy a gemstone bead without seeing it IRL it would be a Milky Quartz, definitely a Trollbead gemstone that looks like the stock picture and with the least variations.
Onyx would be the other one... Smile

I forgot about the Onyx too - that's definitely one you can order online Smile

Thanks Trollgirly and Trolls - As I'm looking for white/white, I think I'll try to pick one out in person. My LD doesn't have any in atm, but am hoping to visit a few other retailers next weekend.

I have two and am lucky enough to have got the matching pair I was looking for. Mine are in the softest, pale bluish tones and I love them.

Probably a bead to pick out irl though as I've heard some of them can be a little greyish/washed out looking.

These definitely vary from white to shades of cream. Some are also more opaque than others and some have striations and such. Beautiful bead though!

I so interesting to hear your opinion about the Milky quartz - what of them do you like most? Can they be with some flash ir twist?
