Cornish Bracelet in progress
I'm sure some of you have seen this before but this is for Marty!
I'm very proud of where I come from and wanted to put together a Cornish bracelet. This is how far I've got so far.
The beads are all Troll apart from the Cornish wheel and I'm hoping to get the old alphabet letters to spell out KERNOW on there eventually!
Zig zag is for all the very winding twisty roads we have. The red/blue is for the Cornish Chough and the seas that surrounds us. The next OOAK reminded me so much of the Cornish Flag I had to have it! Etruscan represents the 15 bezants on the Cornish emblem, the dillo the Cornish flag which is black and white. Silver mountain for the colours in our hills and granite. The Cornish wheel which is made here in Cornwall with the Cornish words Kernow Bys Vyken and Onen Hag Oll which means Cornwall Forever and One and All. Our Cornish Rugby team colours are black and gold so this LE gemstone works so well (still not sure what the stone is though!), followed by Donna, again for the Cornish flag and colours. Brew of the Moor is lastly on there for all the legends of Bodmin Moor. The fish lock was ideal as fishing is part of Cornish heritage and still important today.
Waves and water will be going on here to represent the sea as it is such an important part of this area.
A lovely trollfairy sent me the old Trollbead stopper, I love how solid it is and the little heart on it

Re: Cornish Bracelet in progress
Enjoyed learning what each bead represents. My favorite is the Cornish wheel. I've been working on a Scottish/Viking bracelet to represent my heritage. I wonder if I could find a wheel with a Gaelic expression. Or even better, my clan motto - Buaidh no bàs.
Translation - Victory or death.

I love how you have represented the Cornish Wheel! I am sure Marty will appreciate this too! My bro lives in Cornwall and we try and get there when we can, and always try to do May half-term there. I wish I could get there more often, its a lovely place. I always think of fresh crab salad when I think of Cornwall - the crab would be on any Cornish bracelet of mine!
