The day the Earth stood still
Size does matter! The centre Old Earth is possibly the most amazing Tollbead I own both in size and beauty.

I like the way that they are so very different from each other. The huge Earth is ultra dramatic but I also prefer the one on the left that is like the eye of a stone dragon just waking from sleep.

Someone mentioned an artisan Old Earth. I will never be able to buy one of the originals, but what artisans make them?

Wow, it really is the mother of all earths!! (you can see the resemblance to the new earth much more on the middle one too, the colouring seems very similar)

Re: The day the Earth stood still
Those are three authentic OE's. Not artisans. Authentic OE's are about but require equal parts searching and luck. When you do find one, they will probably range anywhere in price between $500 & $1,000.00 US. you can try searching Ebay Worldwide, just be EXTREMELY careful there for there are plenty of fake bead sellers out there! and keep an ear to the ground for a collector who's willing to sell one. Whatever you do, check it out, find out all you can about the bead and don't be afraid to ask for help should you need it.trollgirly wrote:WOW....are those real troll or artisan? Re: The day the Earth stood still
Try Etsy.com, ineke mathot and mees meerel both make excellent Artisan OE's. The glass attic, also on etsy does a neat one as well. They vary in colors in the glass attic. I have seen them in purple, an electric blue, a burgundy and green. The green one looks the closest to the authentic OE IMO.jlfritz wrote:Someone mentioned an artisan Old Earth. Oh Chuck - I don't think that the surgeon that gave you that face lift was qualified. I think that you should sue.

Re: The day the Earth stood still
I love that about these Wild/Old Earth beads! They do resemble "monstrous" eyes! Aside from being a totally wikkid bead in it's own right, it has that additional element of mystery and wonder that makes it my absolute favorite TB bead...ever!Brightonbelle wrote:I like the way that they are so very different from each other.
