I was about to sell my fashion stripes and mardi gras, and then I made the mistake of trying one last time to use them in a combo.

BIG mistake! Laughing

Will put this one in the clothes & beads thread - when I was finished I noticed that I had been inspired by my new TK Maxx "William Morris" top I love you

Oh yes, and fashion stripes and mardi gras are going to stay. Indefinitely! Laughing

Spectacular you can't sell them now. That's what I love about TB, new beads make you see old beads differently.

I'm not sure what you mean with 'old winter' (were they once part of a winter kit?), but a great bracelet, very folkloristic! And Mardi Gras is a very underrated bead, it's one I really like!

They were part of Kit 63015 "Winter" which comprised Mardis Gras, Pumpkin, Fashion Stripe, Green Flower, Green Eye Bead and Blue Flower Bud. The kit was retired in 2010 and the Pumpkin became part of the red kit. Always wish I'd got that flower bead.

I think it might be a very poor pic of flowers silver & gold you're referring to... Embarassed

How could you even think of getting rid of mardi gras. I have only recently discovered this bead and I love it to bits.
I haven't yet got fashion stripes, still thinking about it.
I love the riot of colour on your bracelet.

Great combo, the Stripe of Fashion bead really ties it all together.

A friend of mine use that bead all the time and every time I see it I make a comment...I think it's time to let mine out of the bead box!

Embarassed That's not even long ago, I should have known, but I was never even aware that Mardi Gras and Fashion Stripe were in the same kit Embarassed ! Thanks for the explanation, MM!
