Post Irene Bead Play

Saturday was spent preparing for Hurricane Irene- I cooked, cleaned, cleared the basement floor, brought all the outside plants inside, etc, I was taking the warnings seriously! Fortunately we escaped without much damage at all, and never lost electricity- so today was a day of rest! I was bushed, but not too tired to kit out my first/new bead box and try out a combo with my new Fall release beads:

The box is from TJ Maxx, and I altered the right two sections into one to hold chains, etc, and underneath is where I'm keeping my collection of bead bags. If I ever out grow the top section with beads, I'll move the bead bags out and keep beads under the tray too.

Looks good, MiniGnome. Mixing in fairytale and World Tour beads feels right with the folklore glass beads.

What a great way to de-stress after such an awful event.

I'm still waiting to hear from East Coast friends in NC, NYS, CT and ME. It's awful not knowing!!! Maybe I need to pull out some beads.
