Artisan Harlequins and Columbines
New Harlequins and Columbines I rcd these directly from Paula Radke. 1 regular columbine, 5 with different colors. Much more affordable and more variety than on d4e. I am not sure about a few of them, but they may grow on me after a bit of bead play.
Here is a quick try with a few of the beads:
pictures are with direct and indirect light

Wow, i love your columbines in particular. I may need to order some more, particularly if I can get the variety that you have.

Re: Artisan Harlequins and Columbines
You just write to her via her website.
She says she can do anything in her catalogue as a silver-cored, Troll-sized bead. Of course, as you can see in trollfinder's pix, Radke's version of Troll-size is decidedly more chunky but no one does dichroic glass better.

Indeed, her glasswork is superb!! Did you request to have a variety of colors in your Columbines or did she just send them that way?

Re: Artisan Harlequins and Columbines
Thank you for all the nice comments
I ordered the beads based on pictures from her website (click on beads then rounds-columbines start on page 4): http://www.paularadke.com/index.php?cPath=5_6&&page=4
Columbine colors in order by the last picture:
Purple Rain & Glowing Green
Ethereal Blue & Juicy Magenta
Purple Rain & Glowing Green
harlequins (3)
Ethereal (Blue) & Dazey Green-supposed to be the original but she never really confirmed that with me
Blazing Blue
Dazey Green & Blazing Blue
For the Harlequins I specifically asked for two green/blue and one pink/purple.
I made sure to mention that they were for Trollbeads bracelets and I wanted them with silver cores. They came with .925 silver caps and all are in good order.
$15 each ordered by email. She does not respond to emails very often so I think she is very busy. I emailed her twice and she got back to me the 2nd time, she will send you an invoice to pay via Paypal. Next payday I would like to order a coral candy columbine and multi-striped bead. They look so yummy.
Teal bracelet I used 2 green/blue harlequins and blazing blue columbine. You can see the difference in color from direct sunlight and indirect light on the blue columbine in particular. The pink bracelet I used the pink/purple harlequin. I am thinking of using all these together to make a mardi-gras bracelet with some face/mask type beads. That will be out of my comfort zone so we will see if it stays together long

Trollfinder,
Thanks so much for doing this for us! To have photos and then a written description is so helpful! I have one original Columbine & Harlequin I ordered from Paula Radke this summer, but now I need the other varieties!

So nice of you to post all of these pics and provide the info
Those Columbines are magical, I think the whole bracelet of them sounds great! I'll be ordering some too now, but goodness, how to decide what to get? Your other combos are lovely but I love the last pic the best too.

Re: Artisan Harlequins and Columbines
It was hard to decide which ones to get, they all look so cool But they are so affordable compared to any Trollbead so I might eventually try one of each maybe....trollcat wrote:So nice of you to post all of these pics and provide the info

Re: Artisan Harlequins and Columbines
trollfinder, did you order her "mega round" and "round"? I can't post the link of the individual pages, but the mega round is 20mm and comes to $24 each and the round there are 2 sizes (11 and 14mm), at $4.50 and $6. And just to be clear, you had to specially request silver caps (or were they cores) to be put on them? TIA
