Feeling Retro

Trying out my new Retro kit with my other older style ooaks.

I love your bracelet, the old-styled glassbeads were just so nice compared to many of the newer one's!

Hi Mini Gnome, it's a retired kit that's beads are named after music
stars. Elton for Elton John. Dolly for Dolly Parton, Freddy for Freddy Mercury, Abba, Carly for Carly Simon and Rod for Rod Stewart.

Hi Mini Gnome, Looking at the top photo. It is the following 6 beads, starting with the black & white at 12:00---
#1= Freddie
#2= Rod
#5= Carly
#6= Dolly
#11= Elton
#12= ABBA
Familiar artist from the music industry
Released in 2007, retired in 2010.

Z I just went on to Trollbead universe to see the retired dates as well.
I was really surprised to see Retro Kit was retired in 2010, I would have thought it would have been earlier.

Hi Zuzu.. Oh, personally, I wouldn't have had any idea about when they were retired since I only just made my first purchase in October 2010, and really didn't start collecting until Jan this year. I have found the TB gallery site exceptionally informative and actually printed out the whole retired section. I think I know what most of the TB beads are, but not all! I'm trying to make a complete reference catalog, and have learned quite a bit in the process. I missed out on the crane bead because I didn't know what I was seeing.

By the way beadgirl...really diggin the combo, man.

Every time i see the name "Freddy Mercury" i get the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" stuck in my head! I'll be singing it all day now.

Great combo, the retro kit is a fun change.
The bead next to the stopper is great, looks like it's the missing seventh Retro bead...wonder who it could be named after???
