Kings of the Jungle
Here is a combo that I made with my African Kit and Artisan Beads.

Very striking! The more I see the African drum the more tempted I am!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat bracelet!
I know this question must have been asked before but I have not found an answer yet: how are the 'seeds' attached to the seed bead?

The seeds are strung on a little silver wire then it is twisted into a knot that is barely visible .... I agree about the price ... I am glad I got the lion (and two of the seed bead cause I really love it) but I did see a big flashing "Moron" sign on my forehead every time I looked in the mirror, but it's not the first time I have seen that sign ... I am getting quite used to ignoring it!

The lion bead is a big dramatic creature to justify his cost. Who made your spotty glass beads?

Marvelous.
I know what you mean about the Moron sign. I never thought I'd be one to pay $30 for a silly little glass bead, but here I am. So eventually I'll probably fall prey to the mighty SA Lion!

Re: Kings of the Jungle
The two tiger beads that have a creamy color in them were made by Sabine on DaWanda http://en.dawanda.com/shop/rosenglas?page=1#products ... I had initially asked Kathy Perras (that is the other 4 tigers on this combo) if she could make a cheetah pattern but she said she had tried before and was not successful ... so I contacted Sabine (as I had seen her beautiful tigers and intended to purchase from her as well), I sent her a pattern that I had seen and she also did some of her own research ... she actually made more than one pattern as there are different types of cheetahs she made me that matching dillo as well ... I love her glass beads and especially the extra effort she made so I could make the combo that had been dancing around in my headBrightonbelle wrote:The lion bead is a big dramatic creature to justify his cost. Thanks K.! My favourites from the SA set are the seed and drum beads. I was worried the little white beads would be on a simple (not very durable) piece of string. But your info makes me less hesitant to consider getting it (somewhere in the future).

You've gotta be kidding me. Should I see this IRL I would have to grab it and run! Fair warning.
By the way, is the stopper an ebay find?
