Boots and beads

With the colder weather coming on, this week I treated myself to the most fabulous purple boots!!!


I wore them to an exhibition opening last night with an aubergine dress, and this is the bracelet I put together to match.

Amazing! I love the color. Bracelet not too shabby either!

I never wore boots when I lived in Queensland, but here in Canberra, while it doesn't snow here often, we do get down to -9C here in winter, so yes definitely cold enough for boots!! I have a few pairs, but I needed a new pair of flat boots for everyday, and was looking for black ones.

Then I saw these dark purple ones!! Just my colour, and they are incredibly comfortable. And yes I do have a beautiful leather bag in purple. I will also look through my kimono fabrics, and maybe make a bag to match as well.

The bad news is a) there goes the bead money for a month or so, and b) they also had them in red!!!

Great colour and very funky boots! You must have looked a gorgeous. My SIL is Purple Mad! Purple hair, purple baby,walls nails,well purple everything really lol! Whereabouts were you in Qld? I'm just over the border in northern NSW.

I am originally from Townsville, but spent many years in Brisbane. Have now been living in Canberra for over 15 years.

The bracelet is TDF Love the boots too but right now they remind me of winter and Chicago has seen way to much of the winter season this year. I am looking forward to being able to wear flip flops and plant flowers that won't be in danger of frost bite. Really love the bracelet you must have looked fab.
