What are your thoughts about the trollbeads day bead 2018?

It looks to me like an amber bead with a little silver bee 'glued' to the outside edge.

Where are you seeing this? I saw a photo a week ago that someone sent me, but haven't seen it on the Internet anywhere . . . your summation matches my thoughts exactly. Would worry that the insect could be knocked off.

I saw it as well, but recall a very high price and really nit worth it.

Somebody posted it at A2B. I would assume that it is not glued on but maybe they heated the amber so that it is fixated within the bead? I am looking forward to this one

The amber with one Bee goes for 100 euro's and the one with two Bees has to be ticked off for 115 euro's. Not sure what prices in GBP or USD are but I am sure that if you convert it, you will be close to the amount for your country.

So that roughly £90 and £100 ....that’s really expensive.

Yikesrs. in £'s or $'s that is a bit high! But I do like it - I'd love to see one in person.

I heard 75 Euros with one bee, 115 with two bees, with only one out of ten with two bees on it, not sure, though if that is true

That was in pounds.
So the consensus was the two bee bead was 115 euros, which is about 135 dollars or 'a ton' (a hundred quid)


...which I still think is a lot of money.

You are right, it is a lot of money and makes me doubt I'd try to get one - it's not like I 'need' another amber bead either...though it would be a nice addition to my amber combo!

They are cute and I love amber beads but the prices are getting too high for me.  We will see.  
If I had a local dealer, I would probably end up with one.

I came across a short movie on FB, one of the US LD's posted a movie how the bead is being made. Not sure if they have used glue, but if you look at the movie from 'Beads from Martha' on YouTube, you can see that the silver has a deep pin that is stuck in the amber.

In that movie you can see some nice close ups from several AmberBee's, they are really nice. I have decided I will be getting one (or maybe two)

I'm really curious to find out what it will cost in USD's and to see this in person now....

Seems I saw $75 & $115. But europe prices seem higher.

I keep looking at this and liking it more and more - very curious to see in person. It's been a while since a new TB called to me.

I like it, but I'm pretty sure that I'll be waiting until they put their overstock on sale before I consider getting one. With the variation in amber colour, I'd also want to make sure I could pick my bead!

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking Strike.

I called the dealer closest to my house, even though it's not that close and they didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked about the TB Day bead. So I contacted Trollbeads USA and asked if it will available online on Saturday and they said yes.
