my dutch house arrived

Together with the sea urchin I had purchased the dutch house, because you got me hooked here in the forum. Since it was out of stock it just arrived last week. I love it, such a detailed design again... the TB house is also a great bead, just for the bicycle on one and the tulips on the other side. For the Faery I love the back, as it symbolizes that just the front appears perfect, whereas the back....





Today I had time for some bead play and came up with the "Royal Dutch".

You should know that I live right on the boarder with Holland and Belgium. In my hometown, Aachen, we have the three-country-point, where these three countries come together

Most of the beads are self explaining like the van Gogh sunflowers, the Dutch tulip and the Dutch houses, the shell as the shell at the beach i.e. in Cadzand, but also the Petrol company (majority owned by the royal dutch family) the flounder that I love to buy from the Dutch fish dealer close to my office, who is coming from the Dutch coast every day and the Van for the free spirit that I thought is in the Dutch genes...
It is hard to see that Mr. Wilders may be successful in the next election and we are all afraid he might win and pull out of the EU and built up the boarders again... Unbelievable for us as we are so used to pass the boarder freely... I sincerely hope that egoism is not spreading and people realize that you can only get further being united and not putting selfish interest first. Never mind I am getting a little into politics, but it is really frightening to see what is going on...
