I also saw the new collection--but not the ring--and I really wanted to try it on. It looks so odd in the photos...

Re: that new side-set ring
Bobbie Karr (Hartwell House, Ohio) tried one as soon as she got them in her store. She said it was comfortable, more than she had expected. She put two small silver beads on it, wore it all day. Said it did turn around her finger by the end of the day so that the beads were on top of her finger rather than set off to the side. She posted on facebook.
I've not yet seen one in real life.

Beautiful! So modern! You should start your own collection. xD Really like the bead you chose to showcase!

Re: that new side-set ring
OK, so someone on FB posted pictures today with the ring and lots of different beads...and it actually looked pretty interesting. If I find a shop that ordered it, I will have to try it on.

Loeca, that bottom bracelet is an off-brand silver with artisan stone beads. The stones are dragon's vein agate and dark blue goldstone. The blue goldstones do look black in the pic, I am sure you could do something similar using black onyx. The other three bracelets are inexpensive stretch or roll-on bracelets -- green plastic, Lokai, and hematite.
kyhalfpt, I only glanced at those ring pix on fb yesterday, but it was amazing. Most of them looked like they were using two beads. I may have to drive to Ohio to try a ring on!

I know what you mean. My LD didn't even consider ordering it. She said--the rings never sell.... I am sure the concept store I am visiting next weekend will have it so will try it on there.

Boy, was I surprised to see this old post pop up!
I have to admit, that although I mocked this ring design and its price at first, I did eventually get the Ring of Change, and love playing with it. I'll have to get my pics uploaded to photobucket.
