A beautiful SS box from Scotland.
Dear Barbara(Mouseoncheese) you are the most wonderful SS!
Today I went to see my oncologist for a check up. Of course last night I did not sleep very soundly. All was well at the Doctors and after lunch I was napping in my favorite chair. When the doorbell rang and I found a white package waiting for me. I immediately brought it upstairs and tore it open! Inside I found first the most lovely card form Barbara, my Secret Santa.
She explained the significance of the items she had sent to me and she told me about the bead she had chosen to send me. Apparently she had the help of a few helper elves!! Thank you! Knowing how much time and thought she put into selecting the bead I set the box aside and dug into the delicious candy and shortbread she sent. Shortbread is one of my favorite foods on the plant...yes it is considered part of a food group!
Next I looked at all the lovely pictures of Scotland in my new daily date book.
So now my excitement has built and I am wondering how long I can hold out before opening this special bead...
I held out exactly 10 minutes!
I tore it open like a little kid and inside was a beautiful snake bead!! Barbara you made my day!
Thank you dear SS!

Dear Vampy, such a lovely post and photos.
I am so pleased that you had good news from your doctor
I had lots of help from some lovely BeadThrilled Elves. Several forum members saw your Bead Wanted post and offered to help, I had already seen it and ordered the Snake and had to send some frantic PMs to ask them to stop being so helpful. Thank you to all my accomplices
I am glad you enjoyed the chocolate, those truffles are heavenly, I was *so* tempted to do some "quality control" Have you tried the crisps yet? They are quite mild, sort of like young 5 legged haggis and my apologies for not sending a live haggis but they don't travel well
Have a blessed Yule and Happy Hogmanay!
