Summer Jamboree - with prize

Inspired by dear Trollperle's Nature Awakens Challenge, that really was great fun, I'd like to invite you all for having a (virtual)

Summer for me is fun, sun, fresh summer fruit, sitting outside with DH and good food and/or a good book until late at night, summer flowers and of course my girls (okay DH and my girls go with every season but I am sure they count ) It is a bit difficult to see but they (the girls ) are wearing a kind of „Finding Nemo“ hair rubber for the season. Gyalmo even took a long overdue bath today, thus the „before“ (grooming) and „after“ photo. Ilvi´s bath will follow tomorrow

Their coat insulates not only against coldness but also heat as long as it is cared for and brushed regularly so that the air may circulate through it, so it stays long even in summer. Gyalmo´s undercoat (showing at her feet) reminds me of a nice Caffée Latte while Ilvi´s colour has something of a lioness - but Lhasa´s colours keep changing and Ilvi seems to become a lighter blond version in some areas, maybe these are sun streaks

Trollperle they are the cutest dogs on Earth
best nobody sees my cats today, I am exhausted, very quiet at work and I could leave a bit earlier, went to buy a big shearing machine and started to work, completely underestimated it now, no, I have no scratches, but managed only to do 2 cats and start with one, my arms are aching like hell, the room was a mess, I looked myself like a cat (covered with their hair)
tomorrow this is to be continued... one cat will have to go to the vet, cannot handle her properly as she is too frightened, the others are not frightened but did not look very amused either...
   

Gyalmo and Ilvi are like the most beautiful models: elegant and proud - as soon as the hair is done.
Good to know, that the furry coat is not a pain in hot summer.
Our rabbits prefer to stay inside these days (or to spend the day under ground in their earth holes).

What a lovely idea, but I am lost, what shoudl we post? Pictures of animals, stories.... I was never a scout....

Fleur, I think hot summer is a pain for our furry friends no matter the length of hair. Gyalmo and Ilvi are like your rabbits, finding some cool dark place to chill, mostly on tiles and outside on the stony balcony in the shade

Reltan, I am sure Fleur will help you out, but I understand that all goes that is related to summer

These can be pics of favorite beads or the bracelet you are wearing now.

My Colorado summer has included a trip on Pike's Peak (with lots of late snow this year)



& a newly-adopted kitten from the Humane Society.

I am having a great summer so far. Firstly I would like to introduce you to our newest family member Max. In May we found 5 kittens and their feral Mummy Cat living in our shed. We managed to re-home them but we ended up keeping one as my son James was very attached to him. He is about 10 weeks old in this photo (he's now 13 weeks).



Next it was my birthday whilst we were on holiday and I was spoilt by the crew onboard the ship:

Summer for me is my garden and the harvest of lovely veggies.  
Here is my Son and Mom...



Now here I am with my Mom. I am the one on the left wrapped in my scarf. I am picking my tomatos...



And then, I made YUMMY salsa with the tomatos...

Oh such wonderful pictures Snow and a new kittie and a birthday (happy birthday, dear ) towel elefants, fjords and a new kittie and salsa from home-grown tomatoes - I love to be a little part of your fantastic summers, my dears - TFS!

We went to Iowa for a few days. We were out in the country visiting family. So peaceful and quiet there. But the bugs were terrible. 




Here  are our dogs waiting for the cats to come up on the deck.

In the Summer we manage to get off the sofa and find the sun.

Trollperle, the wee ones are too cute. Who wouldn't want to adopt them in a second.

The summer here has become hot, hot, hot.
We've had hot weather for weeks and no rain.
I think, it has even become too hot to wear any jewelry.

Wow Fleur, they look exactly like leaves!

Well, this is something that always reminds me of summer.

My DH's birthday is in late winter and I normally try and get him something that's an experience, something to remember. However, he always waits until DD breaks up from school for the summer, to use his present.

This year I got him a 'Top Gear' experience, or to put it more precisely, a 'star in a reasonably priced car'.

This is Top Gear, its a long running UK motor...ish show.

And 'star in a car' is a part of the show where Top Gear gets different celebrities to do a circuit of their track as quickly as possible. It gets very competitive, they always say they don't care, but always lean in for the result. It's great fun.

Currently Joey from friends is in the lead, followed by Mr Bean!

This is DH and DD by the cool wall, DD said DH was seriously uncool, just look at that pouty face!

We had a whale of a time! The sounds that came out of that poor car were unbelievable, it was great fun. Although DH reckons that his lap wasn't timed....ummm.

OMG Panda that is soooo cool! I sometimes watch Top Gear here in Germany, and the laps with celebrities are always great fun. I also like the challenges the hosts are doing, like driving crazy cars through rediculous landscapes.
Your DH looks so happy in the last picture. I guess that was a great gift. I would have loved it as well.
