New Ultimate Collectors Case
There's a new Trollbeads Ultimate Collectors Case being released exclusively in the UK early July which looks quite good, I know it was previewed at a UK Trollbeads store event last weekend I wondered if anyone has seen it IRL and your thoughts on it.
I need another box as my bead villa is rather full so thought i might get one

That one does look nice, love the rods!
At the last TB event I went to in the US, the owner of the shop said they were trying to get someone to remake the ultimate collectors case. Hopefully TB will make more larger cases to accommodate our addiction

I haven't seen it in person, but just looking at the pictures I'm not sure it would hold most collections I also prefer short rods so that I can get the beads I want easily. It looks like the rods span the entire width in that one (although I am just going by the picture, so I might be wrong).
I do need a new case though. I've almost outgrown mine

Nice but expensive, and too small.

I know what you mean about the size...but I must admit that since I got my table to hold my collection I can see the wisdom in having a smaller case....it forces you to sell the beads you don't use instead of becoming a hoarder. I believe I am on my way to becoming a hoarder. There is so much room!!!

I might just be big enough for my collection.
I like the way it is a suitcase, so you could put in under the bed and store it discreetly.

I wish the rods were in the base rather than the lid. It looks like it would tip up because the weight is all in the top. The base does not have many compartments and they don't look very deep so the contents could move around a lot and get damaged. I would prefer it if it was all rods.

Oh yes - I agree - you would spend all your time taking the beads off. My cat would certainly steal some of them during that process.

I'm thinking I need one! I have the white box, which I love, but I like the beads on rods and my rods are, well, full! I always wanted a bead stand like they had in the shops when I first started collecting them, so this is similar to those but better as you can put them away. I hope all UK distributors get the opportunity to get them as I would like my in laws to buy it for me for my birthday and Christmas! Although I am pretty attached to my white one

I am starting to get seduced by the idea now I realise that there are 2 trays in the base. I also want to know if it works well?

It's nice but I wouldn't say its "Ultimate".

Looks more tempting in this photo. Apologies if you can't access it. https://www.facebook.com/CarolineTrollbeads/photos/pb.1446051588985539.-2207520000.1433613725./1618354341755262/?type=1&theater

I was just about to say I noticed that it had a tray in the base, loads of room, think it would look empty with my collection!

I remember, the rep had something similar when she came to visit the local shop month ago.
It's lovely, but I'd prefer the wooden bead villa with it's four layers and glass on top - you can never have too much space

I like the way is it overflowing in Caroline's photo
I didn't get a chance to look at it yesterday but it was a nice size on the outside, not too big, not too small

Re: New Ultimate Collectors Case
Could it be the same like this one?
http://www.schmuck-domizil.de/product_info.php?info=p5093_trollbeads-praesentationsbox-aus-kunstleder.html
Or a smaller version? Can't find the actual size of the new-to-be-released one.
The price sounds much better.

This is tempting especially with the extra tray in the bottom. So many of my beads are just loose in a box.

I agree - Plus I would find it a hassle not a feature to have to take a dozen or more beads off a rod and then back on a rod to get the one in the middle

Re: New Ultimate Collectors Case
I treated myself to one of these when they first came out in August. I am very pleased with it and I don't find it too much hassle to get the beads off the rods. I bought a pack of 100 off 3mm O rings and use one in the middle of the rod and one at each end to secure the beads.
The lower tray has 8 narrow slots for complete bracelets or a 22cm rod. There are two wider slots that fit 3 bracelets each and 8 smaller compartments good for locks, stoppers etc.
My only complaint is that it is not big enough! So I had to get a second one. I keep glass beads in one and the silver beads in the other.
I use the lift out trays as play trays only, as they are shallow and the box won't close properly if there are lots of beads in the play tray.

Thank you for sharing; lovely but a little bit expensive. Does it have a handle? Do the rods fall if the case is tipped upright. Just curious in case I decide to splurge on one. In the meantime, I am using acrylic rods and a document box from Ikea!
