It looks better that way up. I love this bead but have a problem with beads what lie on their side on a bracelet.

Yes, bead that are sideways drive me crazy, too.

I got the beadstick at the shop of my LD. I don't remember the brand name, I'll try to find out. They had 3 different lengths, and lots of choices for the bottom of the stick. I got the most plain one, but I remember pearls, and other things.

The hole in the stick is oval, and is about 2.5 x 3.5 mm.

I am pretty sure the idea is that they are all gathered around the mad hatters hat and it is the brim you can see.

I'm don't usually love sideways beads either so I wasn't going to get this one, but I love it upright on a necklace like that. Your bead stick pendant is great too.

Amanda has a couple on her redbalifrog site:

I had gotten a couple different ones from an eBay seller, but I haven't seen that she has had any for awhile.
