Eating Crow Empty Eating Crow

Post by Beady-Eyed Thu Mar 05, 2015 3:00 am

Or how I learned to love the new silvers Razz    "Eating crow" is American for eating humble pie.

If you look back at the thread on the Spring 2015 release I made some snarky remarks about beads I didn't like. I was sure I would never want any of those bell-flared tube silvers. Embarassed  Readers, I was wrong.

This bracelet will also give you a size comparison for Nadia's pearls (the brown one) vs. a TB; some of my TB pearls are smaller than the white one shown here.

I hate when that happens.  I think a bead is terrible, can't imagine who would want it...and then see it in person and have to have it!

The barrel with the birds is one of my favorites from the last release.  It looks great on your bracelet!

I actually saw it in person several times and always thought "meh," and then I was somehow enchanted by it. I blame the BT bracelet photos!

This happened to me too and I like to be surprised (converted Wink ) sometimes.

The shellpearl is beautifully made and has a stunning shimmer.

I like the flow of your bracelet with the different shapes and mix of metal and glass/stones. I like the new barrels, but I wish they had made them chunkier, they feel too light weight to me.

I think that happens to a lot of us - our tastes change, we see it from another angle....or we mull it over...it happens to me too.

Your combo is very pretty!!

I have eaten crow in relation to TBs on a number of occasions! Great saying!

I'm eating crow too. I originally thought the Jewel Of The Sea was too cute for me, but stated that my sister would love it, which she does. But I ended up loving it too and purchased it. And I'm so glad I did. It is whimsical and fun to wear. Your new beads are beautiful.

This has happened to me, too, and I actually love when it does (I love surprises plus bead-diversity so double good Wink ) - so I would say better pet the crow than to eat it Wink

When I got mine the olive & rose were all sold out, but fortunately for me the brown was the only one I wanted. I didn't realize how lucky I was. Shocked

It does have a great contrast to it Smile I haven't seen it in person yet, but I can see how you would be won over.

Beautiful beads!
