Beetle juice

Inspired by seeing the old beautiful scarab last night on FB. My little beetle collection had to come out today.

I agree, wish they had skipped the heart--but it does give me a heart bead for my valentine bracelet and I keep the heart flipped down against my wrist, so I don't even see it.

This is what I was expecting for the bracelet and I was looking for Tupilak.  I always thought that one of the faces on Tupilak looked like the shrunken head guy.

The idea was stolen shamelessly from Beady-Eyed's combo this morning.  My combo started out like this:



But the silvers were barely noticeable amongst the ambers--especially the big one, so after seeing her combo I changed it and was much happier with the result!

...no you NEED the beetle lock to come.....;-)

No, no other animal/bugs and the feathered beasties will always be my favorite. Today's bracelet is the mad chicken! Just also love the scarabs.
