Mine arrived!

Today I awoke to an exciting package from retiredk9racer, which my boyfriend seemed just as excited about as me. Every day, he has been saying 'Has your Hallowe'en bead arrived yet?' I opened it to find that it contained two of the loveliest flower beads I have ever seen (Flower of Dawn and Violet Flowers, I think), which will go perfectly with all of my other glass beads, almost all of which are floral. Adam was impressed with the beads also, but promptly tore into the taffy(?) and began eating it before I had even taken a picture, so his interests soon became quite obvious

I was very touched by the card, in which Alicia said that she had looked at my pictures and sent beads that would go nicely with my others. As you said, Alicia, I will always look at them and think of my first swap, and they will mean a lot to me, representing as they do the kindness and friendship of this site. This forum really is the nicest I have ever been a member of, and the thoughtfulness and consideration of the people here is what these beads embody to me.

I have been gone all weekend and had mailed my package a bit late so I am amazed (and extremely thankful) that it arrived so quickly!

SophieLilith - I am so happy that you are pleased with your package and the beads!  I would have loved to send more treats, etc. but discovered that a mere matter of just an ounce or two could result in an increase of $30 or more in postage!!!  So, while I am happy that the postal services delivered your package in less than a week, I would love to go back to the days where it wasn't quite so expensive - I would much rather invest in goodies than the postal services

P.S. I hope you got to sample some of the goodies as well but am glad that Adam enjoyed them too!!

Wonderful choices for the bead swap.  Apparently taffy survives in the mail very well but it doesn't last too long in the house.  But then Halloween goodies are meant to be enjoyed.

Beautiful pair of beads, they look gorgeous together I hope you have fun using them.  The sweet treats in your package look very tasty

I adore them and actually use them a lot! And please don't regret not sending more treats - the beads are the important bit, and indeed the best bit, I think! xXx
