My Lapis

I have hoped for a Lapis Lazuli since I started collecting Troll and at last I have one. I have added it to the bracelet I made for the Malawi bead which DH brought me from the Singapore TB Concept Store. He emailed me some photos of the displays so I could choose a bead myself and I chose this one for the pretty background colour and the simple floral pattern.

Beautiful bracelet! Is that the TB sapphire between the Spiral & Blossoms bead? I've wondered how the Sapphire & Lapis compare, so it's interesting to see them both on the same bracelet.

The Lapis is beautiful, like a night sky sprinkled with stars...

It is the Troll sapphire, I thought the Lapis might be a bit 'bright' for the sapphire but they go well together, I went to my Silver dealer a few days ago (a gift shop, not a jeweller) to buy my Autumn beads, they had not got any in but were just thinking about making an order when I went in so my Lapis was ordered with their order, although if I had not liked it I would have asked them to send it back and ask for another. I have to say that they do not have much knowledge about Troll, I asked if they had seen the photos of Christmas beads but they have not. I thought the order they had made was odd, another Lapis, one of the decorative silvers, one(!) of the blue green Northern Lights kit and several of the bracelets with the faceted glass. I do not think that they really know very much about Troll but they have said they will order for me and they receive the beads quickly and are the nearest shop to me so it is easiest for me to use them at the moment.

The lapis is my MUST for this collection, but I want to find the right one:)!

oh very much like this, it is many things all together--happy, sophisticated, elegant, and all the "shapes" sing together. i have such a hard time w/blues but you've knocked this one out of the park! say, what is the silver near the end on the left by the white stripes? a cow??

The bead by the White Stripes is Romulus and Remus, it is not a good angle in the picture. It is one of my favourite beads, ordered from an online sale last year but it became an instant favourite when it arrived. I chose it because I loved  the  myths  and legends of the Ancient world (Italy as well as Greece) when I was young and I went on to study Archaeology and Ancient History  at University.
I did try to put silvers on this bracelet which tied in together and love the new Lotus Tops which are very pretty.
I agree that blue is difficult to work with, it is my favourite colour but I struggled with it in my first years of collecting, it has got easier.

Love your lapis, it has such beautiful speckles of pyrite in it. And it goes so well in your combi!
