LE Turquoise
Thanks to a lovely trollfairy, I was able to get an LE turquoise which arrived last week. It has more of a matt surface, a bit similar to the kimono beads which you can see in the first photo. This is my first attempt to make a combo with it.

Re: LE Turquoise
Beautiful and beautiful combo too.
I have found that the more I have worn mine, the more it has aquired a natural patina, so you may find that it loses that matt look as time goes on.

Great way to combine older and new beads! It does seem to have a very calming effect - I could just keep looking and looking!

Re: LE Turquoise
I love the subtle coloring of yours! Mine is brighter, and matte as well, but I think that wildthing makes a good point.. the patina develops the more you wear them.
gorgeous combo, as always.

I agree - I'd love a turquoise. RubyGems - I guess we live in the wrong part of the world.

Re: LE Turquoise
Your turquoise is lovely. I find the soft colour really charming and think a silky matt surface would suit it.

Re: LE Turquoise
My mum came to dinner last night and in the light of this thread, I had a look at her turquoise, she has worn it continuously since she got it three weeks ago (and I do mean continuously, she sleeps in her bracelet, gardens, showers, the lot and has never made a bracelet herself, she just offers me her wrist anf her beadbox when she wants a new design ).
Anyhoo, (getting distracted by my mums bizarre bead habits) her turquoise had developed the most amazing patina, it has darkened a little and is so shiney it looks like it has been oiled, thought it was interesting.

Re: LE Turquoise
I think that I heard somewhere that turquoise absorbs oils from your skin, darkens and gets shinier?
