Ancient Venus
I wanted this to look as if it had been dug up at some ancient site, lost or buried with a lady well off enough to have jewellery but not rich enough to have gems, so I used uneven ambers, pebble stones and old style silvers, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Re: Ancient Venus
It looks very much like you say. Simple desin silvers and symbols with the stones is made it look old.

Really wonderful!! How is your greyhound lock attached? I see it is permanently attached on one side, but what about the other side?

Just simple silver split rings, you can get packs of them on ebay for under £5, they are a bit of a fiddle to get on so better for semi permanent bracelets but no jeweller required

Great treasure, love all the different rocks
PS. I just noticed I attached my greyhound lock in exactly the same way as you did with two little split rings on either side.

Absolutely gorgeous! Venus is one of my favourite beads of all time and one of my very first, too. And I can see the lady you speak about and how she loves her treasure and I can totally see why she took it with her to the other side

You knocked that theme right out of the park! Don't go burying it in the yard or anything.

I am going to report you to the authorities.
That is definitely an archaeological find.
Treasure trove - you are meant to surrender it!

That's brilliant - I'm just back from a camping trip and we went to Hadrian's Wall where they had some old jewellery and pots that had been dug up and we saw some of the old fortresses along the way. Well worth a look and could have inspired your bracelet combo!

I used to visit Hadirans wall a lot as a child, my grandparents lived near there, and my sister in law has a bit of wall at the end of her garden, not a dramatic bit, but still cool
