Mother's Day Surprise

For Mother's Day this year we will surprise my fiance's mother with her first TB & Me bracelet. She has been asking for a few months now when she will have some of the beads that I make. This will be her first bead bracelet. I made the 4 glass beads that are not TB. I need to replace the cappuccino with another as I made a little teensy chip in it near the core when lining it. It was kind of a challenge because DF wanted to include the Lavender Facet, but also wanted enough colors in the bracelet for her to be able to wear it with the different colors that she typically wears, and didn't want too many beads on it to start with. She loves her flower gardens, so I tried to give the impression of them with the beads on both sides of the Caring Light. I will probably make flower beads for her for her birthday, and give her TB silver flowers. I hope she likes it.

Thanks everybody! I think that it could use more silver right now, but it will wait for her birthday. I think a couple of the bigger silver flower beads, one to the left of the lavender facet, and one to the left of the cappuccino. Then I'll probably make a couple of glass flower beads to go on each end. After that, she'll probably have to wait until Christmas, or take over on her own for more. 

How can she not LOVE it? It's gorgeous and very special that you made some of the beads!

I am wondering what your thoughts are for choosing the silver flower beads to go with the Caring Heart.

Thank you.  I hadn't given it much thought yet, but had Forget-Me-Not, The Messenger, or Flower Meadow in mind. You got me thinking. Any suggestions?
Hmmm, now that I think about it, she loves bird feeding too. Maybe Birdhouse, or the retired Sparrow. Ideas?

I have the Messenger but I would not give it as a gift.  It needs stoppers on each side and even then it is so out of balance and that aspect might bother someone else.  

Your designs are based on circles and Caring Light has swirls.  For my taste, I think I would go with Mom's Bouquet because it is oval...and, of course, the name.  I'd play around with adding Soft Heart because it is a solid but soft line, which would counterpoint the Caring Light.  I wouldn't do the birdhouse...its too chunky and square.  I think Swam of Butterflies might add a nice feeling of texture or Blossom Bead which would repeat the circles in your design and add texture.  Since baby birds are called chicks, I think Chick might be a nice bead, it has soft lines and shine like Soft Heart ... I don't know how available Sparrow is...but its a really sweet bead.

gosh, am I ever opinionated.  and then I look at other people's bracelets and just love them exactly the way they are.

I really like the Swarm of Butterflies idea, Gail. And thanks for reminding me that some people might not like the way The Messenger hangs. It doesn't bother me but you are right, it might bother her, and she would probably feel "stuck" with it.

I am glad you like the Swarm of Butterflies idea. It would fit in with the theme so well and it is interesting looking for a round bead.
