Small and beautiful stuff :))
here now comes the small and beautiful stuff, they are nice but I am not going to hunt them, my best one being the Peace sign anyway
they seem very tiny and I cannot combine them really with my normal beads, so they have to stay together

Ooh yes, I love both of these! I really like the mix of colours you've used in the 2nd one.

Both combos are beautiful!! The new S&Bs are definitely small - they almost seem like spacers next to my "normal" size beads. Love what you have done with yours!!!

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
Thank you all so much!
@Tinka,
most were bought online from D4E this year and last year, some are from Perlen and some from my jeweller but only 3 of them and there was no choice of several beads...

Thanks Catsworld. Are you pleased with your online buys, as far as the workmanship concerns? Nice cores, and things like that? The S&B can't be found in the shops here, so for me it's the same as for you: if I want them, I will have to buy them from a picture, which I hate for glass. I really love the S&B, I have some, would love to have some more. Your 'yellow's' at 6 o'çlock and the cheetah are beads I almost want to die for. But only with nice cores and if they are really S (&B) .
Yours look great. Perhaps I should take my chances too

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
hi Tinka,
the cores seem o.k, but I never use a looking glass, some of the cores are very small and I have to force the beads onto the bracelet.
The beads are very small, in my opinion too small, I think I got enough of them now as I cannot mix them really with other beads.
If you ordered them from D4E you surely could send them back if you wasn't happy? But I would hate that, I admit.
Which one is the cheetah bead?

Very pretty.
You are right they don't mix with other beads, hummmmmm is this a way of getting us to buy a whole new bead system ?

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
cheetah :-) I call the one at 8 o'clock a cheetah.
I really needed another safetychain, so I took my chances and ordered a stripebead with it. The one you have at 6 o'clock Catsworld. (ordered from Perlen, they sell singles). Thanks for showing, it was very inspiring!

Two cheetah's! congrats Catsworld. I will find mine too, I'm sure. There are still 2 s&b on my wishlist for now, the other one is your 2 oçlock turqoize. Don't know if that one has a name..., but it is gorgeous!

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
Tinka, last year I did not hunt them, then I regretted it and I never got to teal tiger, riffles and some others,
this year I got a riffle/ teal tiger (still at my jeweller's) and that dark blue bead, it was not difficult at all to get them,
I am not going to hunt for them, either I get them or not, the only one I was completely keen on getting was the peace sign, but I got 2 other nice beads with it.
I refuse to hunt, and I have not got the asian looking beads that were such must haves last year, they come or not, it does not make such a difference in comparison with what we all got already!
I would also love the broken ice beads, but I will stop now, it does not make sense just to buy anything you'd love to buy, rather a few and cherish them than tons and they become completely usual!

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
I had a few last year, and use them a lot. I love my beads small, I pass when beads are over 14 mm (which is often the case). Most of my last year s&b were blueish and some orange/green.
I hunt, but I can easily say no to a bead, when the pattern or the core is ugly. I try to hunt fot the beauties :-) And I will always refuse to buy a set, I make my own sets, as I think that's what TB is all about. D4E is a good online shop to buy, but I hate their setpolicy. Which I have told them of course, but they don't care :-)
Do you know Christa made broken ice beads? I bought some from her last year. What are the Asian looking beads you refer to ?

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
had to look it up, the cherry blossoms I meant
I only buy sets if I like the majority, so at least 2 out of 3 and only if one is a real must for me!
I got many Christa beads and something similar to the broken ice beads, I love them. She made me last year a terrific riffle bead in small to normal size which is much more to my liking than the newest s/b that should be re-named tiny-tiny & beautiful
I have really stopped the hunting, either I can get it or not, saves me a lot of "nerves" a time, I am not the most fussy person over cores, I don't mind UU's for example, but I loathe cores that are sticking out on one side. I do not use split cored beads as they always fall out.

ahhh, the cherry blossoms... :-) I have one, from last year, a blue. And since I don't do pink, the only other cherryblossom is the yellow one. Maybe that will cross my path, if not it's okay too.
Thats what I meant by ugly cores, sticking out. It seems they are sticking out more and more lately, TB should hire people who really know how to core a bead. Christa is a great beadmaker, she could teach the TB-workers how to core :-))

Re: Small and beautiful stuff :))
Your bracelet looks very summery - totally gorgeous.
I love the hunt. Nothing excessive, but I like the thrill of a good bead party and even if I do not get anything (most times or do not like anything (also very often ), it is fun for me. I will not buy a set nor pay inflated secondary or dealer prices. And I have been very lucky with my leasury hunting this year (unfortunately they are all still in route and with Lufthansa striking there may be no mail this week for me - I do understand why they do strike, though, so I will wait a bit more until next week )

I was wondering the same thing
Both bracelets are lovely. I especially like the second one. You did a wonderful job of coordination shopping online.
