Kraken has arrived!

She is the cutest little monster ever!
Here she is on a bracelet I made while waiting for her to come home. I think she likes it!

The Kraken is sooo cute, I really love him... I wish I had a maritime themed bracelet (a theme I don't like LOL) to use this little guy... hmmm I have no idea where to use it else.. except for a Game of Thrones themed bracelet maybe... but I don't have one either... boo hoo ... maybe I have to start one and use the Kraken together with the upcoming Raven which is on my wishlist.....

Did you notice that there isn't a maritime bead on the bracelet in the pic?  (Kraken withheld.) You don't have to make it obvious! I decided to go with beads and colours that I connect with water instead of the obvious water beads. (Tried to anyway.) Icy, dark water that at the Surface shimers in the setting sun. The sky has a tint of pink and there are some small organisms huddeling in the water. (Cells and "Froggs eggs" ooak.) The silvers I put on there are ornamentals that would enhance the Kraken to me.


There are two obvious maritime beads on my "By the Sea" bracelet but the rest are a perfect description of near water and in water to me. (Pic below.)

Your bracelet is beautiful, the colours are really lovely and you're right about the maritime theme not to make it too obvious... I did not want to offend anyone - in fact there are so many lovely maritime bracelets out there and they are really beautiful... it's just something I wouldn't wear pearsonally.... same thing with flower beads... there are soooooo many lovely floral bracelets... but I wouldn't wear them either... just not my 'thing' ...  
(But it is my mum's thing... so I have bought many floral and maritime beads for her bracelets  )

I just realised that the Kraken would fit onto my northern lights bracelet which has a watery touch (ooops)   to it...

and actually I started out on the Kraken with Game of Thrones in mind... and Jules Verne, and Norse mythology & history, and Greek archeology and then I dug up some National Geographic magazines from years ago and the Giant NP Octopus appeared to imbue all meanings for the Kraken I was looking for.

Beautiful bracelet and I love the meaning of the beads you chose!

The kraken is a real beauty, it makes me want to do some mystical underwater bracelet, too - I'm not sure if I'd have enough beads fitting that theme in a way I imagine it, but I'm sure it will stay on my mind
