Aether Lock Finish Question & Chain Problem

I pre-ordered an Aether lock and dragon tail chain before they were released and I am embarrassed to admit that I have never worn either of them  but I have a couple of questions I need help with.  

I remember reading somewhere that the Aether lock needed a step to shine up the silver - the finish is rough and not shiny like the photo on the Faery Beads website. Or are they all still rough like this one? I am actually selling it but don't want to send the Buyer a rough finished lock if that is not how they are now. I would appreciate input as I cannot find where I read this information.

My second question: I ordered the lock and chain to equal 7.5 inches (at least I think I did) but the whole thing is under 7 inches and I cannot wear the chain. Is it possible to exchange it for a larger size? I can get it on with the Fish lock but there is no room for beads. Any help would be appreciated with both issues!

Yes, some of the first run of dragon locks were not finished properly before shipping. Try asking Sita directly about that, maybe use the contact button on the Faerybeads site. It just needs polishing, but a very thorough job, including using some little picks or something to get into the crevices.

And what length is the chain alone? Might be good with the Greyhound lock, or with two locks.
