D for Dinan

I have been in France on holiday on the Loire-Atlantic coast and coming back through Brittany , our last stop was Dinan, an ancient walled town with lots of castles and an amazing selection of shops





While we were there I found this amazing jewellery and bead (for jewellery making) shop.







They also sold Trollbeads









There I found a beautiful Babytroll with lovely colours on his trollstone  He has 4 little dichroic patches round his ball

I also found to my surprise butterfly ooaks and bees and fishes.  Unfortunately the staff were not well informed or that helpful, so it took a lot of negotiation but I managed to buy these beauties.  I would have bought more but my family were waiting outside and time was limited.

I especially love the Babytroll who I suspect has been waiting there a long time to be found  I will call him Dinan and he will be very happy in my collection with his 4 brothers

Thanks LindaJo.   I think he was. The trollstone reminds me of the marbles I had when I was young. So pretty

Amazing place! Amazing shop - and clearly there aren't many TB fans in France otherwise these beauties would have been snapped up. Great holiday!

Yes Dinan is in northern France in Brittany near St Malo It is an amazing place

By coincidence we are going to Brittany next week, only our first two nights hotels are booked so I think it might be worth staying at Dinan and calling in at this shop. It sounds as if I need to brush up on the French needed for bead buying!
