Boxes and play trays and abacusesssss.....

So I def need a new storage solution.
I went through this so many times, and love my abacus and play tray, but a climbing toddler and beads don't mix well
This is my current storage,
But I'm fairly rubbish at putting everything back neatly after, which means little fingers get in there! I just had to go rummage to find a missing lotus and I'm sure there's another silver missing too
Anyone know if you can still get the red storage boxes anywhere? Wondering if that might be the way to go...

I love my play tray as well, but dont use it for storage, just for bead play.

you tell how many slots for ready made bracelets, how many sticks for beads. etc.

I've gone back to my old bead box in the meantime, not perfect as its a bit squishy, but it works.

My poor play tray only gets used for storage by default as I'm rubbish at putting beads away on the rods!

My collection is much smaller than yours. I started with a beautiful box my dad made for me
but my collection got too large and two stores near me went out of business (one troll dealer that gave me two trays and one store that sold me a used display box) so I put them together and now use my box to store bracelets along with my travel box and the lower box with drawers to store beads:] ]
So far it works great since the drawers come all the way out of the box, so they are easy to organize. I had considered buying a new box--there are lots on Etsy and facebook.
I looked at the Artisan HSM Glass Bead boxes on facebook, they are beautiful and apparently they will do custom orders--but they are not cheap. I found this cheap solution and am hopeful it will last me for a while!

I wondered about trays like that , they look fantastic! Lots of room to grow
But as troll tech pointed out to me yesterday, they won't keep out little fingers just stacked up neatly on my dresser, but maybe when he's bigger and less interested in my stuff
That box your dad made is lovely, my bil made mine ( and the abacus) there's a second tray on top, think Ill ask him to add more compartments in to it for me. That should free up some more space.

A bigger box would probably be best to keep out little fingers. I also told my dad I needed a larger box before I got the display box. I even saw tarnish resistant fabric on ebay that I was thinking of having him line the box with--I am still thinking I may get some of the fabric and put it in the trays, since the little dividers lift off.
