Ruby or ruby rock? Can anyone tell the difference?
I bought this bead for an amazing price today. It was sold to me as a ruby rock but I am wondering if it may in fact be a ruby, can anyone tell? I have never taken too much notice of the rubies due to the price but I have not seen a ruby rock this colour...

I'm no ruby expert, but for a ruby rock it has a LOT of ruby in it. All the ones I've seen are half grey/half ruby, sometimes mostly greyish...To me it looks like a ruby Or maybe it's a ruby rock that just happens to have an extreme amount of ruby in it

All the ruby rocks I've seen have a lot of grey in too. I would say more grey than ruby in fact. Maybe I did get a bargain then!

It has a few marks on the other side but they are not a different colour like the ruby rocks, it is just a few marks in the stone. Does anyone know if the rubies would have this?

The shop i used to work at have quite a few rubies in stock and all had slight inclusions on them but all still lovely, enjoy your lucky purchase.
