A Very Happy Orthodox Easter to Everybody

Today Orthodox Christians in Macedonia and many of its neighboring countries celebrate Easter.
And our lovely neighbor came this morning and surprised us with this lovely Easter Plate of two coloured eggs in the cutest egg-baskets, a glass of Rakija (Macedonian Schnapps that is drunk before a meal) and two slices of homemade cake. We drank the Rakija before our lunch (so there is only water in the glass in the picture ) and we just had the cake with our coffee - it was delicious: lots of nuts, coffee cream and sugar involved

The cake was really really yummie - with all the good stuff that gives the coronaries and arteries and I do not know what a panic attack just thinking about it Our neighbor´s wife´s parents used to own a bakery and her cakes really are TDF
