My First Combo with Africa Beads
I'm not totally satisfied with this arrangement, but I'm going to wear this for a while and keep tweaking it.

You may not be totally satisfied, but I think the result is great. It really feels like Africa to me. Love the earthy greens, beiges and browns in the stones and glass--the whole thing makes me think of pictures I have seen of the savannah areas in Aftica.

What exactly is it you're not satisfied with? I think it's absolutely marvellous, makes me imagine savannahs, and lions snoozing in the shade of lone trees, and a sky full of high white cloud.

It is wonderful. The previous comments say it all. Great to see such unusual beads combined so successfully. (My only question is - how did the Tupilak get to Africa?)

Totally agree! You have some really stunning gemstones there and I love how the red (or red pink?) prism makes the bracelet pop.

Re: My First Combo with Africa Beads
Thanks everyone! I wasn't happy with the balance of colors but I like all the beads and wanted to use them together for this combo. It is growing on me as I wear it.
Brightonbelle - I thought the face on one side of Tupilak made a decent stand-in for an African mask.
Trollmoll - it's a reddish brown amber.
