Tips + Show Your (Toned Down??) Vibrant Blues!

Hey all! This is sort of a request for pics and a request for problem solving tips post. I just love really bright blue, turquoise, teals, and seafoamy-blue-greeny colored beads! I tend to gravitate toward them and love them on others' combos, but THEN in person they LITERALLY hurt my eyes; they're so bright on my bracelets! Seems like everything I put them with just kicks them up a notch! How do you combine your bright blues to tone down some of that natural electricity? (I know, GASP! *hangs head* Tone down!!?? As if one would ever do such a thing! And yes, yes...this sore eyes thing is probably indicative of a bigger problem-- like obsessively looking at beads for extended periods, or geesh, just get this dumb girl some new glasses--but let's please keep it to immediate fixes for now, lolol! ) Please show me your (toned down) vibrant blues!

Here's my "pottery" bracelet. Tone down the blues with ambers and oranges.

oh i like that cbbird! wouldn't have thought of ambers! your combo is really earthy, ethnic, and playful all at the same time. TFS!

I like the bright blues but also find them a bit much to wear, I like to mix them with white and clear beads which is how I did my Christmas Bracelet, there is a photo in the Christmas challenge thread.

Lovely combos! I mix the brights with the darker blues.

I'm having the same problem...was trying to delete some too because I have too many in there.

I just shutdown/rebooted and it still won't work. I think it could be BT as I uploaded a photo on TBGF with no problems.

Hey pandabee--i really like those, thanks!! the yellow takes the true blue up a notch, and the green puts the bright blue to shame, lol, totally hushing them "who's brighter than me? i pity the fool!" (Mr. T voice--did you guys have Mr. T in the UK?)!

Love the beige and gold, they are soothing but bring out the blue. Great challenge, I'm going to have a play.
