The start of 2 new bracelets

I'm working on my first beach bracelet. I started it before I knew about the Spring release.


I spent summers as a girl at the beach. The silvers I chose remind me of those days. The Happy Fish is for how I felt when I was in the ocean, I could stay in the water all day. The Crab is for the crabs we used to catch between the rocks with a stick and string tied with a bit of mussel and then sell for pennies at the bait shop down the street. The Castle is for the sandcastles we used to build and then knock down. Rolling Waves is for the waves we loved to jump at high tide. Jellyfish is for the jellyfish that were numerous in August when the water was warmer. They were so pretty to look at in the water, but painful when you were stung.

The glass is for the sky and sand and water. The pink stone reminds of the beautiful pink afternoon sunsets. It's all Trollbeads production glass except for the pink stone which is rhodonite from Sunapee Graniteworks American Bead collection. I love the variation in azure bubbles.


My other project started with the purple smiley bead.


The white and purple swirly unique was my first TB unique bead that I purchased in January of 2011. The bead next to the silver smiley is my first and only Malawi bead.

Both great starts. I like the colours of your beach bracelet, and it's great that all the silvers are associated with nice memories. I'm sure you'll enjoy wearing it

I agree! I especially love your beach bracelet because I lived near the beach as a girl and relate to many of your memories - the sunsets, the castles, even the jellyfish! Thank you for sharing!

I've added a new bead to my beach bracelet today. The conch to represent all the shells I used to collect.

Yes, it's definitely more special to wear a bracelet where the beads have memories associated with them.

I'm not too sure about the new release. I will have to see it in person, but I think my beach bracelet is complete.
