Whimsical Christmas

Loving my new bead/dangle set (Black, Green, Red Holly) from Leigh Anne Serrano (Glass Attic on Etsy). I think it fits great on this Christmas bracelet.

No, the TB dangle is Black Spinel, not Onyx, but when you put them next to each other you cannot tell the difference.

What is a black spinel anyway ?

Spinel is a mineral. It is spelled the same in Dutch, I believe.
It occurs in all colours and can easily be mistaken for other minerals and gems like Amthyst, Ruby, Topas, Sapphire and others (depending on the colour).

Sorry, I rushed off as DH had our dinner ready and totally forgot to post how lovely the bracelet is. I will have another look at the spinel tassle, as well
