Winter in the Black Forest

I tried to capture what winter is like to me in the Black Forest. Since we haven´t lived here for very long Winter is still an overwhelming time of year for me with loads of snow and ice and dark trees hiding the sun which stands so low that in some areas it won´t shine at all.
It´s the time of beautiful ice flowers, owls crying loud in the darkness, dwarfs going for a walk in twilight and trolls doing nonsense in the woods. It´s the time when we feed lots of birds in our garden when I get excited about every sparrow I can see (they are not very common up here). Sometimes we have a hedgehog over the winter to feed.
It´s the time when all the castles and the ruins are beautifully lightened and give you a feeling like being in a fairytale. Magic is in the air.

Many years ago I visited the Black Forest and I think this captures it perfectly - well done. I love the use of all the different beads. I have been wanting a hedgehog bead, and your is very cute.

Mabel that's a very nice pic and bracelet. Since moving to Switzerland we have enjoyed the drive to Titisee many times with guests.
