Waxes from the workshop on Bali
I've been enjoying a workshop by the amazing Ruth Waterhouse while staying on Bali where a friend of mine and myself learned to carve (smaller) waxes, filigree and several techniques for melting, joining, adding and removing waxes. It was the perfect place for the classes a few days up to 4-5 hours in pleasant but also hot temperatures.
Ruth's friend made a few pictures while we were concentrating on the waxes.
The waxes we took home... and of which a few will make it into the collection...
But we will ask for your vote on which of these as well!
A first selection of the waxes... Cast in Argentium® Silver. Our preferred and used silver is one of the most pure silver alloys available... and the beads are heavy!
Check back for a sneak peek of the finished beads in a few days!

Re: Waxes from the workshop on Bali
As promised the results after oxidation and slightly polished.
I think these four would fit in the Faerybeads collection.
From left to right:
Dragon's Breath spacer bead
Dragon's Vertebrae bead (is being enhanced)
Dragon Scales bead (is being enhanced)
Phoenix bead
More pictures to follow.
